Reese Diane and Morgan Kate

Our sweet little blessing made their arrival on June 27, 2013.

Reese Diane was born at 7:55 am weighing 6lbs and measuring 18 inches

Morgan Kate was born at 7:56 am weighing 5lbs 6oz and measuring 20 inches.

We are so blessed with two healthy, strong baby girls!

The first time they put the girls together Reese locked her little leg around Morgans...sweet big sister!
 Daddy and his girls
 So proud!
Big Brother holding one of his sisters for the first time!  Melts my heart!

Very happy that delivery and hospital stay were both very uneventful.  I prayed for this my entire pregnancy.  So many things can occur with any baby, even more so with twins, so we are so thankful.

The girls are now almost 2 weeks old and they have been doing wonderful.

Both have a little jaundice (currently sleeping infront of a window!) and we are going tomorrow for another weight check because both lost a little more weight since we left the hospital.  I am supplementing with one ounce of formula with Reese after each feeding.  Fingers crossed for a good visit!

Other than that we are just in a snuggling, swaddling, kissing, diaper changing mode around here!!
I could just stare at them all day!  Still cannot believe that they are ours...God is so good!

30 weeks...last week

8 weeks or less until our baby girls make their debut!!!
(tomorrow will make 7)

I have been so horrible about blogging about this pregnancy.  Its just I cant seem to find the time and I also have had a hard time finding a good source as to what is really going on each with with multiple births.  When I was preggo with Park, I got the weekly emails from babycenter and what to expect, but they dont give an option or send special info for twins.

Things have been going great and I am growing each day!!  The girls are weighing upwards of 3 pounds each now and at my last appt, my belly was measuring 37 week (I was 29 weeks)!  Wowza!
I feel good overall, just getting tired easy and find myself getting out of breath going up and down stairs 100 times a day.

I have yet to be put on any form of bedrest (knock on wood) and have just really tried to do my best at not overdoing it.  My main issue is picking Parker up.  I know they tell me not to, but I have to...he is my baby still and when he needs me, well he wins over stupid rules.

Here are a few pics over the past couple weeks.  If you follow me on instagram then you have seen these!!

Easter 2013

We had such a wonderful Easter this year.
I love that we are home and our familes can be with us to share in these special days with us!

My parents came up from Houston for Easter and we had so much fun.  We dyed and decorated Easter eggs, did eggs hunts with Park, attended an amazing Sunday service and had a wonderful brunch with family.

Parker was so much fun this year.  He really loved decorating his eggs and loved hunting for eggs.  His favorite item had to be confetti eggs though...I am still finding confetti all over the place!

There names will be...

We are no longer refering to our sweet girls as Baby A and Baby B!

We now call them by their names, Reese and Morgan!!!

Reese (baby a) Morgan (baby b)

It took us a little time to finalize on names, but I LOVE them!!
We always seem to have a little trouble when it comes to girl names.  When we were pregnant with Parker we never came up or agreed on a girl name and this time around we had boy names set once again.

So we sat down made a list and started to narrow it down...we only had 4 names, so it didnt take too long.  Reese had been a favorite of mine from the start and Morgan a favorite of Waynes.  See aside from being a double blessing, twins allow each of us to get our favorite!!

Diane is my sisters name and also the middle name of my sister in law, so I  had always thought I would use it if we ever had a little girl.  Kate was one of our favorite names, but we would have used the name Kathryn and called her Kate.  Since I have a cousin on each side of my family named Kathryn and a great Aunt, we chose to just use Kate as a middle.

I love being able to refer to my sweet girls by their names now!
Let the monogramming begin!

Gender Reveal

Saturday we hosted a gender reveal with our families and closest friends.

My ultrasound was on Monday, so we had to hold on to the results for 6 days.  I thought I would be tempted to peek, but I actually suprised myself!

So without further adieu...

Some of our friends and family casting their votes!

Old wives tales predictions, voting chalkboard and my sweet babies profiles
The box that held all the answers
 The invite!
 Parker voted for "Girz"

We are thrilled to be adding two beautiful baby girls to our little family!
I think we may still be in a slight state of shock, we both really believed that they were boys!
Made the surpise of the gender reveal that much more exciting!!

16 weeks

Today makes me 16 weeks preggo with these precious babies!!  Three weeks and I will be half way!  (19 weeks = halfway with twins!)
For the past week or so I can finally say that the morning all day sickness has passed, knock on wood.
But I have remained tired.  I do fine in the mornings and early afternoon, but as soon as 4 o'clock hits, I am USELESS!!
So far this pregnancy has been completely different than my pregnancy with Park
With him I was sick all day, literally. This time I just felt sick all day, but only actually got sick once.  Honestly, I would rather get sick than feel sick.  At least there were moments of relief.
I have already been dealing with heartburn, which was never an issue with P.
We go on Feb 11th for our big ultrasound.  That weekend we are hosting a gender reveal party for our family and close friends!  I am super excited to get to do this!  We were in PA when I was preggo with Park, so almost all of our pregnancy news was told over the phone.  So happy to be home and be able to share these special moments with those closest to us!!
I will definately keep you guys posted!  We don't care either way when it comes to gender.  Although I will have to say I adore being a "boy mom"!
I keep feeling like they are boys, but not like I did when I KNEW Park was a boy.
My doctor keeps giving me this smirk and says he puts his money on girls!
We will see soon enough!!

Babies!

It is still very weird to type babies, plural.

We saw our sweet little ones this morning and they were precious and more important...they were in 2 separate sacs!!  Thank you for the prayers!

We had our 2nd sono this morning and I went in a complete ball of nerves with my blood pressure through the roof.  They started out doing a basic belly ultrasound and as soon as we saw our little ones the tech noted that they looked great and were moving all about.  My first question..."are they in separate sacs?".  She said she could not confirm or see a separation and that they were very close together which may be the cause of not being able to see.  I of course broke into tears.

She continued to reassure me all was going to be okay and decided that we would switch to an internal ultrasound for a better picture and as soon as we got an image of my precious babies we clearly saw the wall between them.  I honestly felt the weight lift right off my shoulders!!!

Everything else with the appointment went great.  Babies are measuring right on track with baby B measuring slightly larger.  Baby B also tends to be the show off of the two.  He/She was moving all about and hogging the camera!!  She was able to get one clear shot of the two of them.

We go back on Feb 11th to confirm gender!!
