Got the proof of Park's bday invite and I cried. I just had to share it! He is just too precious with that little smirk (that mirrors the smirk of the monkey on his shirt!) How is my baby already having his first birthday!
Cannot wait for the big day!!
Thank you to Tommie at Oh My Gluestick! If you are planning a party, go check her out!
I have a month until we take Parks one year pics and we take our holiday card photos. Since I am going to be in Houston most of October, I really need to start getting an idea of what we are going to wear in the holiday photo. Here are a few ideas I have come across, just to get the mind working!
I am lovin...these leopard flats I just received!! Super cute and comfy and for $12.99 from Target, how can you beat them! Well unless you were giving me some new Tory Burch leopard flats, but these will do until I see if WayneSanta read my wishlist!
I am lovin...ETSY! It's no lie that I have always loved Etsy, but now that P's bday party planning is in full effect, Etsy and I are best friends!! I even had to create an etsy folder in my email! Also loving that by the first of the year I should have my own Etsy shop up and running...more to come on that!
I am lovin... these quotes! Via Pinterest...of course!
Just realized I had not blogged in quite awhile. Not too much exciting going on here. Just the daily ins and outs of being a mom to a pretty amazing little guy!
-I have been a little under the weather and having some serious tension and knots in my upper back and neck. Went to the doctor this morning and she has ordered me to physical therapy twice a week until they get my muscles stretched and loosened. I think I am also in serious need of a massage. I have not had one since I had Parker...I need to fix that!
-We finally finished our kitchen makeover. Pics to come. I am very very happy with how it turned out and so proud that we did most of it ourselves! I am sure all the tile work didn't help my neck and back!
-Parker is such a busy boy these days. He is everywhere and FAST! I cannot turn my head or he is gone. He has been standing on his own without holding onto anything. He will stand there for a few minutes and every now and then take a step or two but it still ends with a not so graceful fall!
-With the weather cooling off a little it is nice for all of us to get out and take Park to the park! He absolutely loves to swing and he enjoyed the slide too!
-I have been craving all things pumpkin. I am going to attempt a pumpkin ravioli this week, we shall see how that goes! I may make some pumpkin bread today!
-Parker's one year photos are being taken on October 29th. I am so excited. We are doing them a month early bc I really wanted to have some outside, here in PA its too cold to do them any later. We are also going to be taking our family Christmas pic too. I have been racking my brain with outfit ideas...any suggestions welcome!
-Parks bday party planning has been in full effect! We are doing a sock monkey theme! I have been having so much fun getting everything together and am so blessed to have my Mom and sister who have been so helpful to me in the planning. The party will be in TX and I am super excited!
-With the party planning I have printed off all of Parks monthly birthday photos so I can make a photo banner...I got a little sad seeing how fast he has grown up...here is his 8 months ago! Look how tiny!!
- Waynes parents are coming in this Thursday and we are so excited to see them and for them to get to spend time with Park.
Well I am off to get all the items on my to list marked off!!
I honestly cannot believe it has been 10 years. I remember that day like it was yesterday. I was awoken by friends that I needed to get infront of the TV immediately. We all gathered in the living room at the sorority house watching the coverage, in shock and scared. I remember tears and asking what and why. I remember all I wanted to do was be at home with my parents and sister because I had so much fear and I was not sure of what was going to happen next.
As I have been watching all of the coverage this week it has left me in tears. The emotions of that day become so raw again as each anniversary comes around and I watch the coverage over and see the interviews of family and friends who lost their loved ones that day.
I am so glad to see all this coverage and the memorials that have been done, we have not forgotten and we never will.
God bless those who lost their lives that day and those who have fought each day since to protect us.
I had a sweet friend who is expecting ask me about Parker's baby book and realized I had never shared photos or info on his baby book!
I ordered it from Swoozie's and the line is Simple Elegance. For those you moms to be and brides to be, they have goreous books.
I opted for the white silk dupioni fabric with a baby blue embroidery on the front cover and baby blue embroidered name and birthdate on the inside cover. With it being white, I also chose to get the clear protector. They are a little bit pricier than some other baby books, but in my opinion, totally worth it!
Now I just need to get busy filling it out! I was waiting for my Mom to do it (she has fabulous penmanship), but each time we have been together it completely slips our minds!
I just cannot believe it! These past nine months have flown by!
Everyday with my little guy gets better and better. He has such an amazing little personality and is so sweet and too much fun! Wayne and I are always laughing!
He is such a busy little guy! At nine months, here is what Parker is up to!
-He is always on the go. Crawling everywhere and pulling up on everything
-Once he pulls up on something he starts walking around or up and down it holding on. He took 2 steps on his own one day, but has not attempted that again! Which I am thankful for...I do not think I am ready for him to walk just yet!
-Takes himself to and from all positions. Laying to sitting to standing, etc.
-He has started to wave. Will not always do it on command, but it is the cutest thing.
-still no teeth. he seems to be teething pretty seriously but nothing is through yet, or from what he will let me see. He freaks out if I try to get anywhere near his bottom gums. Hopefully soon!
-Really not interested in any table food. We have attempted cut up cooked veggies and fruits and he gags once he gets them in his mouth. He is still taking 4 bottles a day and having 3 meals(somedays just two).
-He LOVES pushing his walker and walking around the house. He has so much pride on his face when he on the move!
-He has figured out the stairs and with us infront of and behind him, he made it from top to bottom all on his own! Now he is not allowed anywhere near them!!
-Loves diving off the couch!! He will sit with us and then lean off and wants us to hold his feet as he slowly goes down. Once his hands hit the floor he starts walking on them and we let the rest of him drop...he laughs so hard and wants to do it again and again!!
-Constantly babbling. Saying Dada and bababa...no Momma yet :(!
You are becoming such a big boy! I cannot believe you will be a year in 3 short months! I am so proud of you and so proud to be your Mom! You are such a blessing and have the best little personality! Everywhere we go, you steal the hearts of everyone who meets you!
We love you so much!
