What I'm loving...

I'm loving...the sunshine, we have seen nothing but storm clouds and rain for over a week!!

I'm loving...that we just had a yogurt place open near our house!  I have evey intention of treating myself to some yummy, cold goodness this weekend!!

I'm loving...this little guy!  His personality shines through more and more each day and he is hilarious!!
I cannot get enough!

Putting his friend on speaker phone so he can take a break and chew on Sophie!
First time trying baby food...was not sure what to think.  But now he LOVES it!

I'm loving...my new Cooks 5 in 1 power blender.  It chops, grinds, whips and blends!!  I went with the orange which may annoy my Red Raider hubby !  But for some reason I just really liked it and they were out of the turqouise which was my top choice!  Best part is I got it for 50% off!!

What I am loving Wednesday!!

I am loving...that one month from today one of my best friends will be saying I DO to a wonderful guy!!  So excited for Holly and Tanner!!

I am loving...that this Sunday is the Click Workshop I signed up for a few months ago!  So excited for someone to teach me how to really use my camera and to get great shots!  I cannot wait!!

http://www.clickworkshops.com/

I am loving...the show Extreme Couponing.  I get so into watching these women save money!  I am so excited at the end, as if I am the one saving!  Wish I had the patience or desire to do something like that.  Hubby told me that if I did it, all the saved money would be mine to spend...and that doesnt even motivate me to want to cut coupons!  Oh well, bonus card savings are exciting enough for me!

I am loving...these cheese markers that I found on Etsy(WoodenHive).  Super cute!  She can put names of any cheeses on there that you prefer as long as the name will fit on the spoon!

I am loving... that this week is halfway done!  I so enjoy weekend time with my boys.  Hopefully this crummy weather clears up so we can enjoy it outside!!

Hope you all have a wonderful day!!

A week of beautiful blessings!!

This was a very exciting week, both my cousin Liz and my lifelong best friend Emily had baby girls!  Not until either baby was born did we know the babies sex.  Yes that is correct, they both never found out the gender!

For those of you who dont know, I go CRAZY when people do not find out the sex of their babies.  I am the person who has to know everything about everything and has no patience.  Not finding out the gender during our pregnancy, was NEVER an option!  To top it off my cousin makes things even harder on me, by never sharing what names they are considering.  I mean seriously!

Well Sunday morning (Mother's Day) Liz gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Audrey Louise!  She is the perfect addition to their family and it sounds like big sister Grace likes her so far(give them 13 years...ha)!!

Monday evening Emily and Robert headed to the hospital(the same hospital where Em and I were both born!) and she was induced!  For those of you who see my FB page you know that from that point on all of our friends were on the edge of our seats waiting to see if Baby K was going to be a girl or a boy!  It was 8:10 Tuesday night when another beautiful baby girl arrived.  Aubrey Carter is a beauty and looks just like her mommy!

I am dredding my next trip to Houston and all the debts I have now, I had put all my money on Em having a boy!!

So this has been a very exciting and blessed week for my family and friends!  So excited for Liz and Emily and looking forward to meeting both sweet babies!  Audrey and Aubrey...isnt it crazy that they almost have the same name!!

On a side note...I have NEVER met anyone who did not find out the sex of their child and ended up having a boy.  The count is at 8.  So my advice to any of you wanting a baby girl...dont find out the sex!!

It is all happening so fast!

How do they grow up so fast?
1 day old (December 2, 2010)

5 months, 7 days old (May 8, 2011)
In 5 months he has gone from 8lbs to 15+ lbs, from a brunette to a blonde, from a baby who slept all day to a baby who wants to play constantly and will not go to sleep if he feels he may "miss" something.  He has gone from a baby who nursed every couple hours to a baby who eats every four hours and also eats rice cereal and will shortly start baby foods.  From a baby in newborn diapers and clothes to a baby in size two diapers and 3 and 3-6 month clothes.  He has gone from a sweet boy who could not hold his head up to a precious boy who is now trying to sit on his own.

I am so thankful that God chose me to be Parker's mom.  I pray to him each day, to give me the ability to raise him to be the man he is suppose to be.

Becoming a mother is by far the best thing that has ever happened to me and has made not only mine, but my hubby's life complete.

Parker Gregory you are a true blessing and gift from above.
I love you!

Happy Mother's Day to all of you amazing mommies!

What I'm loving...

I'm loving... that Wayne's Grandpa, RT who fell last week is recovering well from surgery and is working hard through daily rehabs!!

I'm loving...that in 2 months and 5 days I will be in the Cayman Islands soaking up the sun with family and  fruity umbrella drinks.   However I am not loving that this also means I will be in a swimsuit!

I'm loving... the smells of Spring!!  Although it is gloomy here today I have really been enjoying watching all the flowers and trees blooming and the smell of fresh cut grass!

I'm loving...this little guy and that this weekend will be my first Mother's Day!!  By far the best job I have ever had!

I'm loving...these Turnpyke wedges by Steve Madden.
via Nordstrom

I'm loving...that this past weekend I got back into some of my favorite jeans, that I have not worn in FOREVER!  Still not where I want to be, but am about 10 lbs less than my pre-baby weight!!  Sounds exciting....but my pre-baby weight was not my ideal or goal weight so I still have a ways to go!!  But I am taking each goal as they come!

Hope you all have a fabulous Wednesday!!

5 Months...its going way too fast!!

Five months old...I swear I just wrote the 4 month post!

Mr. Parker has been quite a busy little boy!  Here are some things that went on with our little guy this month!!

-Parker took his frist plane ride to Houston to visit his Grandpa and Nana(my parents)!  We had a great week and half at home wtih family, that was very much needed!  He did fabulous on the plane both there and back!  The flight home was just the little guy and myself, which I was so nervous about.  Everyone around me was so helpful (going through security, etc.)  and he slept the majority of the flight...YAY!!!

-Park got to meet almost all of my family, which was so exciting.  We had most of my mom's side and dad's side  of the family over the Sunday after we got to TX!  Everyone traveled to see us and it meant so much!!  Park loved all the attention and tons of lovin!!

-A not so exciting event that occured while in TX was our little man got sick for the first time.  He woke up in the middle of the night running a fever.  Took him to the pedi my best friend uses and they were amazing.  They tested him for RSV but thankfully it came back negative.  Seems he just had a cold, probably had a little to do with the drastic climate changes from here to TX.  We were so sad that due to his cold we did not get to meet up with his little buddies Preston, Bennett and Logan.  We were so looking forward to this dinner, but we WILL be rescheduling for June...so clear your calendars ladies!!

-While we were at my parents our little guy decided that it was time to start rolling over.  We were sad Daddy missed it, but we got plenty of video.  Ever since this he refuses to remain on his back at all.  If he is not rolling, he is not happy!!  He is just like his momma though...he only rolls in one direction.  That is how my mom said I was!
this was the end of his 5 month photo shoot!! ha
-Since he started rolling he has decided that he prefers to sleep on his stomach.  This obviously makes me very nervous but no matter what I do he just ends up back on his belly.  Due to this I am using his Snuza everynight and for the first week I had him back sleeping in my room in his pack and play.

-He is scooting now too!  When he gets on his belly and sees something that he wants he works so hard and pushes himself until he get to it. This process is slow, but he does it!!

-He has fallen in love with his feet!  He is always grabbing them and holding onto them.  I even caught him with a toe in his mouth!

-Starting to wear some of his 3-6 month clothing

-Yesterday he attended his first birthday party!  His girlfriend Sophia turned 1!!  Yes that is right, P likes older women!!!

got all spiffed up for my pretty girlfriend, Sophia!
- Not only is he always grabbing his feet, he is grabbing for everything.  If I have my phone, he wants it.  If its the remote, he wants it.  It is so funny!!

-We tried rice cereal a couple weeks ago for the first time and have only tried it again once since.  He is hilarious with it...video to come!!

-Easter Sunday was the first time we took P to church.  I was super nervous and had every intention of running him to the nursery if he started fussing, but he was great!  I really think he loved the music!  But he did get a little scared everytime the organ started playing!

-We have started to work with him on sitting up on his own.

Everyday we wake up thankful that God chose us to be the parents of this amazing little boy.  He is such a blessing and everyday I am his mom, I am a better person!

We love you so much Parker!
